    Toronto-area security guards who need training or recertification, we're your providers.
    We deliver 1st Aid & CPR courses that are;
    - Interesting (no boring lectures and endless videos here!)
    - Properly certified (Complete WSIB approval of all modules!)
    - Experienced (your course will be taught by a Toronto EMS instructor who has done CPR for real!)
    - Convenient (our locations are short walks from subway stations and minutes from the 427, with free parking!)
    - Sympathetic and understanding (our instructors have all been security guards!)
    - Best of all, you get all this at the GTA's best rates!

    For individuals, we charge;
    - $69/HST for the 1-day "Emergency" (6.5hrs) course, which gives you one year's certification;
    - $109/HST for the 2-day "Standard" (13hrs) course, which gives you THREE years' certification (saves you $231.08!!);
    - $40/HST for recertification of your existing and valid Standard certification.

    Rescue One also accepts contracts from groups; our simple rate is $200 for the instructor (we pay the taxes) and $30 per student (this goes directly to WSIB and EMS for the certification package).
    Regular clients are welcome! We already teach at three different security academies in Toronto.

    Thank you for taking the time to read this; Rescue One cares about the guard industry, and we want to make sure you get nothing but the best.

    Learning first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) may be just what you need to be that angel. Heart attacks, strokes, or convulsions have a way of sneaking up on us without warning. First Aid/CPR Training (Toronto) First-aidEach passing minute after collapsing from a Cardiac Arrest can reduce the chance of survival by as much as 10% so knowing what to do is critical. Even if we want to intervene to reduce the effect of a burn, fracture, or allergic reaction, you need to know what to do. Knowing first aid and CPR will place you in a position where you can take responsible, appropriate action in an emergency.

    First Aid/CPR Training (Toronto) Empty Heart Attack & Cardiac-Arrest Stats

    Post by Rescue One 1st Aid/CPR Wed Feb 19, 2014 9:56 am

    If you see a cardiac arrest in Toronto and you're not actually IN a hospital;

    - If you do nothing but call 911, that person has a 3 percent chance of survival.
    - If you perform proper CPR, their odds improve to better than 50%.

    Add an AED (defibrillator - and they're publically accessible) and it goes up past 70%.

    In short, if you get trained, everyone around you has at LEAST a 47% greater chance of survival.

    Now add THIS stat...

    More than 80% of all fatal cardiac arrests happen at HOME - so now picture the person you love the most in life.
    They're on the ground, gasping for air, unable to breathe, heart muscle starting to cramp up and die.

    You're on. Know what to do?

    CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  The term cardio refers to the heart, and pulmonary refers to the lungs.  CPR is the same as Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).  CPR is a combination of breathing and chest compressions.
